I do not buy laundry soap any more.  Truth be told I have not bought soap in over 5 years.   I make my own soap.  I figure I am always in the kitchen why not.  I had a friend send me this website that I am going to share with you now.  Enjoy.   Homemade Laudry Soap

shhh... here is a savings secert for you!!!

So a lot of people have asked Tory and I, "How do you two save THAT much?"  Well, that is easy... 

You see Tory and I have been through some really rough times and we have learned the ART of savings because we HAD to.  We try to only purchase things we need that are on sale and with a coupon.  If we want to go out we always look for a coupon, movies- coupon, car repair-- coupon, specials, do it your self, or even haggle.  There are so many things that you can coupon on it is great.   Trust me-- you can coupon at Coach!! 

We wish you all the best with all your couponing in every part of your life. 

Black Friday Tips

Well, you all are going to be mad at me.....  
I really don't think there is a whole lot of GREAT deals out there this year.  Also this is the first year that many stores are open on Thanksgiving.  I will say this though---

Please be careful when you are in the mist of other Black Friday Shoppers.  I know that we all get a bit crazed for that one deal. 

Also gals, PACK LIGHT.  What I mean by that is keep your purse ON YOUR BODY and keep only your wallet, keys, lip balm and what other few necessary  items you must have.  I will be in a Hennessy long sleave shirt with a sweatshirt with a messenger purse between my layers for good safety with just my keys, and my cleaned out wallet, lip balm and hand santizer....  

I did find a deal at Old Navy that I could not pass up....   I was able to get my 5 year old some jeans and a heavy long sleave shirt and 2 extra long sleave shirts for him and his brother for Christmas.  It was 57.00 less my 10.00 off coupon and tax made it 50.41.

I will be at Wal-mart for a few things..

Kholes-- ONE thing with a coupon and 15% off

Saturday I will be going to CVS, Walgreens and Safeway for my weekly stuff..

Tory and I have decided not to do a black Friday segment on Fox 40.  HOWEVER!!!!!  We will be doing another one latter in December..

I wanted to see how much savings I could get when I needed to get something's at Safeway this afternoon before my class. The skinny of it all was that I got everything on the crazy coupon mailer with 20 extra items 18 which had coupons. This is what happened... Total retail $125.00 spent $44.00. ( rounded up by less than 30 cents each side). Not to shabby for an unplanned trip with three guys that where more of a hinderance than help.

Today I went for a quick trip to Save Mart and Safeway to time myself from start to finish. As in find the deals, gather coupons and shop... I was amazed with how fast it took me.. Less than 2 hours.

Save Mart-- I saves a total of 53% on things that my family uses ALL the time
Safeway -- I saved a total of 62% again on things that my family uses ALL the time.

Bath and Body Lotion

Friends...

I know we all love bath and body. I had found a gift card in my office from my birthday. (the joys of cleaning the office) So I went this morning. I saw that they have a lot of new smells. They also have some of their Halloween line in if you like that. This is what I found.....

7 pump soaps for $20.00 that makes them $2.85 each.

Then in a corner--- I saw a 50% off sign. That was for the coconut collection and then above eye shot a 75% off sign.. They had the cherry vanilla lotion that came out earlier in the year and it was $2.50 a bottle.

Just had to share.... I know that I can get good lotion for much less than $2.50 a bottle but for Bath and Body that is a good deal

As I was going through all my ideas of what I want to post on this BLOG. I started thinking that even though many of us have FaceBook accounts that maybe some don't know that they can use that as a way to gain more access to coupons. Well, it is!! Most companies today have a FaceBook page and offer coupons on that page. All you have to do is "Like" their page and you have a free printable coupon. how hard is that? Not very hard at all. And like many of us, we are already on FaceBook.
